Looking to play darts in the SVDA?
Here’s what you need to know:
What do I need to get started?
- SVDA accepts registrations of teams with 4-6 players.
- The league holds a meet & greet signup each season for anyone looking for a team.
- Individual players can also join existing teams during an in-progress season.
When?
- Wednesday nights.
- Games start at 7:30 PM each week.
- Each season runs for 10 weeks plus 2 weeks for postseason events.
- Winter season runs January-April.
- Summer season runs May-August.
- Fall season runs August-December.
Location?
- Choose your team’s home bar at registration.
- Half your games will be at ‘home’.
- The other half will be ‘away’ at other SVDA venues around Sacramento Valley.
What Games are played?
- SVDA teams play different games depending on the division. All games are scored on DartConnect, so the tablet does the math.
- A Division: 501 & Cricket
- B Division: 501, Burma Road, Cricket
- C Division: 501, Burma Road, Cricket
- Rec Division: 501/Cricket, Burma Road, 301
What division should I play in if I am new to darts?
- Truly new players looking to get into the game should start in the C Division. It is generally accepted as the most fun division and great for newcomers.
- If you have played before just reach out and we can help you find the best division.
What does it cost to play on a team in the SVDA?
- Each player must pay $40 per season to participate, this works out to between $3-$4 per week.
- The venue sponsorship for the season is $50 for the team.
